Sintra Mountain Bike Trail

This 40km trail has an incredible network of so-called singletracks, as well as some fire roads, long climbs and technical descents. It is considered one of the best MTB trails in Portugal and is just 30 minutes from Lisbon. The start is in Malveira da Serra, a small village approximately 10 km from Cascais and a 45-minute drive from Lisbon.

Fonte da Telha Mountain Bike Trail

In Costa da Caparica, this trail presents incredible views along the coast with a very flat walk until the last loop, where there is a climb of more than 500 meters in level. This is one of the most picturesque Mountain Bike tours in Portugal, absolutely beautiful. There is a quick exit that goes down to Cova do Vapor beach. The most recommended is to cycle in the late afternoon, to be able to watch the sunset on the beach. The place has an infrastructure of bars and restaurants.

Cumeeira Grande das Sete Cidades Mountain Bike Trail

Starting on the west bank of the Lagoa Azul das Sete Cidades, this dirt trail goes around the old volcanic crater, 600 m above the Lagoa das Sete Cidades. It presents stunning views over the lagoon and the sea and results in one of the most iconic landscapes on São Miguel Island, in the Azores Archipelago. It was elected as one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal in the category of non-marine water areas. However, it is above all an excellent MTB trail in Portugal.
