Praia Grande de Ferragudo

Praia Grande de Ferragudo in Portugal

Ferragudo is a fishing village where Praia Grande, also known as Praia de Ferragudo, is located. Care must be taken not to get confused, as there are two more beaches with the same name, one of them also in the Algarve region and the other in themunicipality of Sintra.

Ferragudo’s main beach

The beach has a good structure for water sports and is quite extensive, measuring more than 700 meters in length. Its waters are very calm due to the protection of the sea bars and ideal for those who like swimming. It is located over the mouth of the Arade River and overlooks the Portimão Marina. Nearby is the São João do Arade Fort.
